Strange Questions (an occasional slot for those unusual questions we get asked)
Q - How can I find a good, professional tree surgeon to look after my trees?
A - There are many good tree surgeons operating in most areas but there is often a range of different qualifications and experience. You should check that any tree surgeon you employ is properly insured for public liability and professional indemnity and they should be aware of the British Standard for tree work - B.S.3998 "Recommendations for Tree Work".
The Arboricultural Association promotes the use of competent tree surgeons through it's Approved Contractor's Directory which can be found here: -
